What Digital Marketing Services Insite Advice Provides in St. Louis
INSITE ADVICE is a digital marketing and web design firm at 2122 Marconi Ave in The Hill, St. Louis City, founded by Alex Wolk in 2002. We work with B2B, B2C, and e-commerce companies — private lenders, law firms, masonry contractors, pool retailers, and others. Most of our clients are in the St. Louis metro on both sides of the river, and we also work with businesses in other states. We’ve built and marketed sites for BJC HealthCare, Bayer, Washington University, and World Wide Technology.
We provide eleven services in four groups:
- Measurement (marketing analytics and reporting)
- Search Services (SEO, local SEO, technical SEO, e-commerce SEO, link building, Google Business Profile optimization)
- Content and Social Services (content marketing strategy, social media marketing, video marketing)
- Direct Response (email marketing campaigns)
Paid advertising on Google and Meta is scoped separately from these ten, because ad spend and campaign management are budgeted differently than ongoing optimization work. It’s described further down this page and on our advertising services page.
Most clients run a combined SEO and website management program. Typical investment is $1,500 to $3,500 per month, determined by how many keywords you’re targeting and how competitive your industry is. Ad spend, if you run paid campaigns, is separate and goes directly to the platform.
Every engagement begins with a website and Google Business Profile audit. You see the findings before any optimization work starts, so the schedule that follows is built on what we found rather than on assumptions.

Which Service Should You Start With?
Almost no business needs all eleven at once. Where you start depends on what’s currently broken, and the answer is usually one of five situations.
People search for what you sell, but you don’t appear. Start with SEO. If your site is slow, hard to crawl, or was migrated without proper redirects, run technical SEO first — optimization on a broken foundation doesn’t hold.
You serve a defined geographic area and want the phone to ring. Start with local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization. This is the fastest-moving work we do, because map visibility responds to profile and proximity signals that don’t require months of content development.
You show up near your own address but disappear a few miles out. That’s a geographic coverage problem, not a general ranking problem. It’s solved with location-specific page content and profile work, not more keywords.
You sell products online. Start with e-commerce SEO and analytics together. Product visibility without conversion tracking tells you traffic went up but not whether it earned anything.
Your website is the constraint. If the site is dated, slow, or doesn’t convert the traffic it already gets, fix that before spending on channels that send more people to it. More visitors to a page that doesn’t convert produces a bigger number and the same revenue.
If you’re not sure which of these describes you, the audit at the start of every engagement is designed to answer exactly that question.

No. SEO, technical SEO, e-commerce SEO, content, email, and analytics work aren’t tied to where you’re located, and we currently work with clients in other states in addition to our local clients.
How Engagements Work: Access, Audit, and Cost
What we need from you
Most of our clients run full SEO and website management. To start, we need access to your website, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and Google Analytics 4. If we’re running Google or Meta ad campaigns, those accounts require separate access and setup.
The audit comes first
Before we plan anything, we audit your website and Google Business Profile. That tells us the current state of both, and separates critical issues that need immediate attention from improvements that can be scheduled. You see the findings. We don’t begin optimization work on assumptions.
Then a schedule, not a template
From the audit we build an optimization schedule. Timelines vary — a site with technical debt, a thin profile, or a competitive industry takes longer than one that’s structurally sound. We’d rather give you an accurate schedule after looking than a standard one before.
Call and form tracking
During onboarding we typically install tracking numbers on your website and Google Business Profile, and add attribution tracking to phone calls and form submissions. This is how we tell which channel produced which lead. Without it, reporting shows traffic and rankings but can’t connect either to revenue.
What it costs
Typical investment is $1,500 to $3,500 per month. Where you land in that range depends on two things: how many keywords you’re targeting, and how competitive your industry is. A single-location service business in a low-competition category sits at the lower end. A multi-service business competing against national brands sits higher. Ad spend, if you run paid campaigns, is separate and goes directly to the platform.
Results for St. Louis Businesses
What “Green Zone” means
We track local visibility with a geographic rank grid — a map of a business’s service area divided into a grid of measurement points. At each point, we record where the business ranks in Google’s local results for a target search, then plot the result as a colored dot.
Green means the business ranks in the top 3 local results at that location. That’s the range that matters, because the top 3 are what appear in Google’s local pack and on Google Maps before a user taps to expand. Yellow and orange indicate positions below the top 3 but still on the first page of local results. Red means little or no visibility at that point.
“90% Green Zone coverage” therefore means that at 90% of the measured points across that client’s service area, the business ranked in the top 3 for the tracked search. Grids are measured with [tool name] and re-run [monthly / at each reporting cycle], so coverage figures reflect a specific date rather than a permanent state. Local rankings shift with proximity, competitor activity, and Google’s own updates.
Case Studies
Six case studies, six industries. Each links to the full breakdown.
- One West Hard Money — Private lending. 100% of tracked map pins reached the Green Zone, with a 134% increase in leads.
- Law Offices of Niesen, McDonough & Niesen — Personal injury and workers’ compensation. 87% Green Zone coverage and a 164% jump in monthly leads, in under four months.
- Mackler Associates — ACT/SAT test prep. 92% Green Zone coverage and a 158% increase in qualified leads.
- Porter Tuckpointing — Masonry and tuckpointing. From 5 to 325 qualified leads by expanding into neighborhoods where the business had been invisible.
- R & S Pool & Spa — Pool and spa supply and service. 90% Green Zone rankings across the St. Louis metro.
- Gomez Upholstery — Custom upholstery and furniture restoration. 56% Green Zone coverage, extending a 20-year local reputation across the region.
We’ve also delivered work for BJC HealthCare, Bayer, Washington University, and World Wide Technology.
Lead figures are counted through the call tracking and form attribution we install during onboarding, not from estimated or self-reported numbers. Rank grid coverage reflects the measurement date noted for each engagement.
Who You'll Work With

The core team is Alex Wolk (Founder), Eranda Goldacker (Project Manager), Lee Kreutzman and Mark Laschober (Account Managers), and Tim Burgess (Designer/Developer).
You work with the same people throughout your engagement — there’s no handoff from a salesperson to a stranger after signing.
We’re a Google Partner, and our work has been recognized with Best in Business (2026), Local Excellence St. Louis (2021), Expertise (2020), and Top 20 Companies Under 20 from St. Louis Small Business Monthly.
Advertising and Campaign Work: Who It's For
Advertising works when there’s already demand to capture and a reason to move faster than organic search allows. That’s most often a business launching a location, promoting a seasonal offer, entering a new service area, or competing against national brands with larger budgets. We build and manage campaigns across Google and Meta, with the same call and form attribution tracking we install on every engagement — so you can see which campaign produced which lead, not just which one got clicks.
Websites We Build, and What Goes Into Them
We build on WordPress, with responsive layouts, page speed and Core Web Vitals treated as requirements rather than cleanup, and local SEO structure built in from the first wireframe rather than added afterward. Redesigns are handled as migrations: existing URLs are mapped and redirected, and pages that already rank are preserved rather than rebuilt from scratch. A redesign that loses your rankings isn’t a redesign, it’s a restart.
Consulting: When You Have a Team but Not a Plan
Some businesses don’t need an agency to execute — they have marketing staff, or an owner doing the work, and what’s missing is direction. Consulting engagements are scoped around a specific question: which channels deserve budget next quarter, why a campaign underperformed, whether a market is worth entering, or how to structure an in-house team’s priorities. You get analysis and a plan your own people can run.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do digital marketing services cost in St. Louis?
Most of our SEO and website management engagements run $1,500 to $3,500 per month. The two variables are keyword count and industry competitiveness. Paid ad spend is separate and paid directly to Google or Meta. One-time projects like a website build are quoted individually after we scope the work. How long before we see results?
It depends on the starting condition of your site and profile and on how competitive your industry is, so we don’t quote a fixed timeline before the audit. As a reference point, one of our personal injury clients saw an 87% Green Zone map coverage and a 164% increase in monthly leads in under four months. Local map visibility generally moves faster than organic rankings for competitive commercial terms.Should I start with SEO or paid ads?
If people already search for what you sell, SEO compounds and paid ads stop the day you stop paying. If demand for your category is thin, or you need leads before an SEO program matures, paid comes first while search work runs underneath. Most established local businesses start with local SEO because it’s the fastest-moving of the two. What’s the difference between SEO, local SEO, and technical SEO?
SEO is the broad practice of earning organic visibility. Local SEO focuses on map and geographic results and depends heavily on your Google Business Profile. Technical SEO addresses whether search engines can crawl, render, and index your site at all — speed, structure, redirects, and markup. Technical problems cap what the other two can achieve, which is why we audit for them first. Can I buy one service, or do I have to bundle?
Services can be purchased individually. Most clients combine SEO and website management because the two constrain each other, but a standalone Google Business Profile optimization, a technical audit, or a website build are all things we do on their own. What access do you need from us?
Your website, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, and Google Analytics 4. Ad campaigns require access to those platforms separately. If any of these don’t exist yet, we set them up as part of onboarding. What is a Green Zone ranking?
Green Zone refers to the green dots on a geographic rank grid — a map of your service area divided into measurement points, where each point shows your Google local ranking for a target search. Green means you rank in the top 3 at that location, which is the range that appears in the local pack and on Google Maps. “90% Green Zone coverage” means you held a top-3 local ranking at 90% of the measured points across your service area on the date the grid was run.Do you offer video production?
To a limited extent. We produce short-form video as a supporting asset inside content and social programs — product walkthroughs, testimonial capture, and social clips. We don’t sell video production as a standalone service, and for larger productions we’ll tell you when a dedicated video shop is the better fit.Services, pricing, and coverage last reviewed September 04, 2026
