Insite Advice has been using Market Samurai for about 6 months now and it is about the most user-friendly keyword and niche research tool we have ever used. It is easy to use, and we always start our SEO research using this program. This really helps us discover some high traffic, but low competition keywords that you can dominate in the market.
Market Samurai has many different modules that help us find out what keywords to use. These are Keyword Research, SEO Competition, Rank Tracker, Monetization, Find Content, Publish Content, and Promotion (with an AdWords Module coming soon). Market Samurai has a great feature set, but we seem to come back and use the same few modules almost daily.
The Market Samurai Keyword Research tool is the first place that we go when starting a SEO campaign. Doing proper (white hat) keyword research is the key to success. You want to find keywords that get a lot of traffic, but don’t have so much competition that they are impossible to rank your website in the top pages. There is an integration of the Google Keyword Tool and with an AdWords account you can generate up to 800 keywords at once. This is powerful to get a nice sized batch of possible keywords. After you have all those keywords, you can click the ‘Analyze Keywords’ button. Doing this gets all of the information that you need to assess the keyword effectiveness. You can then filter these analyzed results by setting limits for any of the many different factors. This helps you come up with a handful of great keywords to actually target for your SEO campaign.
The Market Samurai Keyword Competition tool is the next tool that we use the most. Once you have found some good keywords from the Keyword Research tool, you can analyze them with the SEO competition module. Market Samurai will go out and look at the top 10 real time search engine results for your keyword and show you in an easy to read table how these sites rate for a variety of well known SEO factors. There is a great graphical representation that allows you to easily assess the level of competition for a specific keyword. This module is an easy way to find out the right niche to market when choosing the keywords. These few keywords that you come up with will provide the foundation of the SEO campaign going forward. This tool helps ensure that you don’t have to abandon a keyword because of too much competition. Just like a house’s foundation, it is hard to completely revamp a set of keywords for a website.
The Market Samurai Rank Tracker allows you to track how well your site is ranking for any keyword you choose. You can enter in a domain, and then a list of keywords you want to track for that domain. Select the search engines you want to check the keyword rank for and Market Samurai will go out to each one and tell you where your domain ranks for each keyword. Samurai shows the actual page URL on your domain that is ranking, as well as its number of backlinks and the specific page PageRank. The Rank Tracker will also keep track of your position and number of backlinks and you can pull up a nice looking graph to see how your site has improved over time. This is a great representation that is really easy to understand. All of the data is easily exported into excel for easy reporting and safekeeping.
Market Samurai is a pretty powerful software solution for internet marketing companies, SEO companies and anyone that has a website. Essentially, with a bit of expertise, an entire SEO campaign can be started and maintained with it.
